Over just ten issues, Peter Biľak’s Works That Work sought to rethink design, while exploring new models of distribution and finance

Making it past the second edition is the litmus test of any indie magazine. Works That Work [WTW] survived that hurdle. A blend of National Geographic meets The New York Times meets Condé Nast Traveler, WTW documented ‘unexpected creativity’ from around the globe. Yet despite its success (or perhaps because of it), WTW founder Peter Biľak determined early on that its tenth issue would be its last.
